Presented by a PRWB trainer, this fifth module covers crisis management and media relations. Participants learn about the phases of a crisis, the relationship between its operational and communication dimensions, and Grunig’s key principles for navigating it. The module then addresses the strategic role of the spokesperson — the voice and face of the organization — and interview preparation tools, including the questions-and-answers document. It concludes with the ten commandments of media relations and a series of practical tips for succeeding with the media: conciseness, honesty, key messages, and command of non-verbal communication.
