Social marketing, the fight against disinformation, social communications, and advocacy are at the heart of a collaboration aimed at strengthening the impact of partner organizations.

Montreal, July 20, 2026 – In a context where challenges related to disinformation, climate change, and inequality cross borders, communications play an essential role in fostering dialogue and supporting social transformations. With this in mind, CECI and Relations publiques sans frontières (RPSF) are announcing the strengthening of their collaboration within the framework of CECI’s Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), funded by Global Affairs Canada.
This collaboration will allow for the mobilization of public relations professionals to work alongside partner organizations in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia. Together, they will pool their expertise to address priorities defined by the partners themselves.
“Today more than ever, organizations must deal with complex challenges that require strategic, credible communications adapted to their realities. Beyond traditional press relations, impact dynamics now require a sharp mastery of advocacy and social marketing. Our modernized service offering will allow us to design custom campaigns, adapted to local realities, to create lasting social change,” emphasizes Anne-Marie Caron, President of Relations publiques sans frontières.
Four areas of expertise at the service of partner organizations
To support partner organizations in their priorities, RPSF leverages the skills of communications professionals across four areas of expertise:
- Social Marketing: Using communication techniques not to sell, but to positively influence behaviors, promote collective well-being, public health, and environmental protection. PR acts here to raise awareness, build credibility for causes, and mobilize financial resources.
- The Fight Against Disinformation: A true digital scourge that manipulates opinion, disinformation is countered proactively and reactively by RPSF. Volunteer strategists support partners in disseminating reliable information, managing crises, creating credible content, and raising public awareness about verifying sources.
- Social Communications: This pillar encompasses the management of verbal and digital interactions within communities. RPSF supports organizations in managing their e-reputation on social networks, creating engaging content, and developing relationships with local influencers to solidify social ties.
- Advocacy: RPSF helps organizations formulate clear, impactful, and argued messages to defend a cause, influence policymakers, or change laws. This pillar relies on the mobilization of media and social networks to amplify voices that are less often heard.
A call to professionals and international NGOs
To support the deployment of these strategic missions in 2026-2027, RPSF is launching a call:
- For communications professionals: Individuals wishing to leverage their expertise through a volunteer cooperation mandate (remotely or in the field) can submit their profile via the RPSF website.
- For international NGOs: International cooperation organizations expressing a need for support in these four fields of expertise are invited to consult our website to contact RPSF directly.
