Dear friends,
Some fifteen years ago, a group of public relations professionals came together around a shared belief: that our profession had the power to make the world a better place and that developing countries deserved to be part of that story. Since then, board members, volunteers, and mission leads have worked tirelessly to make that vision a reality. Today, that commitment matters more than ever. The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals remain out of reach, and communications and public relations professionals have the talent and drive to make a real difference.
In recent years, the pandemic forced RPSF to reinvent itself. On October 23rd, at our fundraising event, we will have the opportunity not only to unveil our new matching program, but also to launch a mobilization effort, one that calls on every professional in our sector to dedicate 1% of their working time to international cooperation projects. The evening will also offer a broader perspective on the world, with three distinguished guest speakers: Line Beauchamp, Jean-François Lépine, and John Parisella, all former heads of Quebec government offices abroad. And of course, this winning trio would not be complete without the team that so many dedicated volunteers have helped build over the years.
On behalf of the board of directors, I invite you to join us as we continue writing RPSF’s story, and open a new chapter that, once again, puts the expertise of communications and public relations professionals at the service of the common good.
Stay tuned to our website and social media for more details.
Warm regards,
Julien Baudry
